Hi, Iā€™m DAN HUEY.

I have been involved in mathematics education for thirty years in Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina. While here in North Carolina I taught at Northwest School of the Arts, the Community School of Davidson and most recently Lincoln Charter School.

Both in the classroom and during tutor sessions I encourage students to actively participate in learning. Leading students to enlarge their thinking capacity by collaborative problem solving is a strategy I incorporate. I strive to instill confidence in students as they grasp concepts and assist them in seeing the open doors of possibility for future education and careers.

In addition to education my other passions include spending time with my family, serving at church and attacking the local mountain bike trails.

I am beyond excited for this new opportunity to partner with other devoted, enthusiastic educators, including Carolynn Wesche, to carry on the academic excellence provided by the Mentor Learning Center in the Denver community.
